TYLER REFRIGERATION AND PCX CORPORATION

ANNOUNCE STRATEGIC ALLIANCE

Single-source accountability and cost-savings for grocery store construction

May 9, 2003 -- Chicago , IL -- PCX Corporation, a leading producer of pre-manufactured electrical centers, and Tyler Refrigeration, a world leader in refrigerated and non-refrigerated merchandisers, walk-in coolers and mechanical refrigeration systems, have agreed to jointly market their expertise in construction and engineering for grocery and other large-scale retail applications. Officials at both companies expect this strategic alliance to result in faster store construction, better integration of electrical and mechanical equipment and lower labor costs.

Under the alliance, the companies will share sales leads and systematically pursue projects jointly. Doing so enables Tyler to leverage its substantial packaging and compressor rack engineering know-how with PCX's expertise building combination mechanical/electrical distribution centers. The alliance enables PCX to streamline construction of pre-manufactured centers by integrating mechanical and electrical elements of Tyler products at the factory. It also provides PCX with access to Tyler's extensive sales and distribution network in the supermarket/grocery industry.

For customers, officials from both companies anticipate the following benefits of this alliance:

  • Single-source accountability for refrigeration and mechanical/electrical components of a project

  • Faster store construction by bundling two distinct project elements in a single solution

  • Higher installation quality

  • Labor cost savings

  • Value-added engineering expertise in each respective field

  • Seamless integration of electrical and mechanical equipment

  • Consultative assistance from industry specialists

Mark Anderson, Tyler Refrigeration Vice President & General Manager, said, "Our decision to align our products and company name with PCX was an easy one. Our alliance already has provided substantial cost-saving benefits for customers; moving forward, we plan to continue leveraging PCX and its innovative solutions in future projects."

Rocco Di Lillo, PCX Chairman, said, "We are very excited about the significant implications that our strategic alliance with Tyler Refrigeration holds for the grocery industry.
