RALEIGH, N.C. (October, 2017) – PCX Corporation is pleased to announce it has opened a second manufacturing facility in Smithfield, North Carolina, to meet its growing demand for modular data centers. The new facility will add approximately 45,000 square feet of manufacturing capacity and be used to perform final equipment assembly, electrical integration and factory witness testing, of major systems for the modular data center industry. Smithfield, NC was chosen because of its close proximity to Interstate I-95 allowing access to the country’s major data center corridor in Maryland, Washington DC and Virginia. PCX will continue to manufacture prefabricated electrical power distribution centers, its FLX–Power™ custom integrated switchboards and skid based solutions, at its Pony Farm facility located in Clayton, North Carolina.
